If you're in Australia you need to pick up your diary, calendar, iPhone whatever and put a reminder in there for the 24th January 2013! Because on this day the documentary Blood, Sweat and Sequins will be aired on SBS. Blood, Sweat and Sequins follows Chelle Hafner, Cleo and Miss Filly as they prepare to compete for the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012. The night of nights on the Aussie Pole dancing calendar has been and gone and OMG what a night it was!! Its been just over a week since the final, I would have posted this sooner but for some reason my lap top has been very uncooperative.  Nothing beats the atmosphere at the Enmore theatre on MPDA Finals night, you can practically see the excitement in the air (in my head it's all glitter), everyone in the audience is buzzing discussing who they can't wait to see perform and who they think will win. This year I actually went in with a list in my head of 7 or 8 of the finalists that I thought might take the title, I honestly couldn't pick one clear favourite. Even after all the girls had competed I still couldn't decide between about 5 of them. I really don't envy the judges it would have to be one of the hardest jobs in the world! WOOHOO!! Newly crowned USPD Champion Michelle Stanek is coming to Sydney for Miss Pole Dance Australia and will be running two Master Class' at Bobbis the day after!! Can't wait to book in for this! Looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!! At this stage I have no idea if she'll be running Master Classes at any other studios but if I find out I'll let you know!! Billie xxx

The US Pole Dance Championship was held in New York over the weekend! I wish I was there but I will have to settle for watching the routines on Youtube! Speaking of which here is winner Michelle Staneks routine from the Optional Round.. it is incredible!  Michelle will be the guest performer at the Miss Pole Dance Australia Final in November this year and will also be doing workshops at Bobbis Pole Studio (I can't wait!!) The year is almost over  (well we're three quarters of the way through it practically)!! It seems as though the year is just flying by!!  Bookings at Bobbis for the final term of the year opened today (or if you're a VIP bookings opened yesterday), and Christmas party plans are in full swing and there seems to be lots going on in the Pole World here in Aus (well Sydney to be exact) BadAzz Workshop On the 13th of October BadAzz will be at Bobbis for a workshop so if you want to learn some really cool tricks book into that one! It's $85 and goes from 3.30 til 5pm. I won't be able to make it... I'll be to busy getting ready for  my date with Adam Levine  the Maroon 5 Concert! Now that MPD Heats have been over for a couple of weeks it's time to figure out what I'm going to start working on next? After the heats I've pretty much been eating non stop, it's taking it's toll though, I know I've put some of the weight I lost back on and I feel pretty gross all the time, I pretty much haven't stopped eating since I walked off stage! My Birthday being the Monday after MPD gave me the perfect excuse to indulge, I've had cupcakes and chocolate and McDonalds and Pizza, all those yummy things that I thought I'd missed while I was dieting and now they just seem to leave me feeling sick. I did however enjoy my first ever bowl of curried sausages and rice for the year the Tuesday after. Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love my mum's curried sausages so it great day when we had that for dinner, I practically inhaled it!! I think my indulging has also affected my skin (not just the fact that I've had a massive break o...

So now that MPD Heats are over and the Wild cards for the Final on November 10th have been announced, there are a few people I need to thank. Georgia Moon - for taking the idea that was hidden in my head somewhere, and making it a reality.. the most AMAZING costume I have ever owned. You are a genius! Slynk, for mixing my music, after my hours of attempting to do it myself ended up as a massive fail. It was perfect! My Family, for not complaining to much about me being so absent this year, having only Sunday's to train on MPD related things by myself meant I missed out on a lot of family get togethers. Thank you for always being so supportive of me, not just for this journey but for my general love of pole.  Mum, Dad and my sister Caitlin, thanks for putting up with me and what can only be described as my neurotic behaviour over the last 8 months. I haven't been the most pleasant person over that 8 months... but you still love me right? Kylie and Case! Thanks ...

So I know I haven't posted in a while, but the last couple of weeks have been pretty busy with MPD preparations etc. But now it's all over and MY GOD WAS IT FUN!! Lucky me got to have the Wednesday, Thursday before the comp and the Friday of the comp off work!! YAY for sleeping in! Having the time off work was probably one of the best things I did. I got to go into the studio on Wednesday and run through my routine once more as well as practice in my costume. Which was my main concern. There were a lot of different parts to my costume and I really needed to make sure that I practiced taking each bit off so that it all looked seamless. I actually had a pretty shitty run though on Wednesday, and a few of the times that I practiced in my costume I struggled getting bits of it off.  bit of pre show fun with Sparx she loves a good boob grab Thursday I got my extensions re-taped, and the hair tinsel put in my hair and a spray tan. HOLY SHIT! How did it get to be a week before the heats already? So far everything is going pretty well, I'm over my cold and feeling great, saw my osteo yesterday and got my shoulder and rib looked at and my back and neck cracked!!  Picked up my amazing costume last week!! AHH IT'S SO AWESOME I LOVE IT!! It's sparkly and beautiful and beyond anything I could have imagined, worth every single cent I paid for it!! When Georgia sent me through the picture when she was finished I squealed like a girl (I was at work at the time) and almost burst into tears!!  I was so excited when I picked it up I may have worn part of it on the drive home hahaha :)  I can't wait till after it's over so I can post up pictures so everyone can see it!! Sorry but no photo's or hints before Friday night, I want it to be a surprise!! I also managed to put the finishing touches on my routine on Sunday and do the whole thing in full without dying! so that's a relief. So I ha...
