Confessions of a Pole-oholic

In 2013 Cleo The Hurricane  released her first DVD Rockin Legs n' Abs (RLnA) which was a huge success! Pole Dancers (and non polers) around the world are getting more flexible by the day!                    In March 2013 Cleo released her latest DVD Cleo's Rock N Pole, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! And let me tell you I wasn't disappointed.                             The first thing I did after it arrived was sat in bed and watched the DVD from start to finish, at the time I was pretty sick and hitting play on my DVD remote was about as much exercise as I could manage, and I got exhausted just watching it! This DVD differs from RLnA, while RLnA's is focused on strength and flexibility Rock N Pole, has four fun routines to learn as well as strength exercises and tutorials of the pole tricks featured in the routine...

For ages and ages I struggled with my horizontal (jade) split, it looked more like a special K than a flat straight line.  I've been lucky enough over the last couple of years to have Cleo as one of my teachers and without these tips from her I would have never have gotten my split flat on the pole!! Because on this day the documentary Blood, Sweat and Sequins will be aired on SBS. Blood, Sweat and Sequins follows Chelle Hafner, Cleo and Miss Filly as they prepare to compete for the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia 2012. Okay I'm really really excited about this, not only because I've watched Cleo train and work on this project but because it's just simply amazing (yes I got a sneak peek this morning when I got up for work and let me tell you it was totally worth almost missing my train for work for) take a seat, and get ready (and if you can make sure you watch this on a decent size screen, a phone screen isn't going to do it justice) Congrats Hurri!!! all your hard work paid off and the end result is incredible  Billie xxx

Before she left for Berlin to start her next big adventure  Cleo  was working on a couple of projects. One being recording with her band  Leopard Nation  and their first single, Hey Boy,  was released yesterday on iTunes!! If you're a pole dancer and you don't know who Cleo is there's a good chance you've been living under a rock. Cleo is an instructor at Bobbis Pole studio, the current Miss Pole Dance NSW and more importantly MISS POLE DANCE AUSTRALIA 2012!! Cleo started teaching at Bobbis in 2010, I actually remember seeing her come in to teach her first class (advanced) and how nervous she looked. Now two and a half years later, it's amazing to see how much she has transformed as a dancer/performer. Watching the DVD from the Miss Pole Dance Australia Final in 2009 and then watching her routine from the next year and then watching her winning performance from last year is nothing short of inspiring.
